On Friday, October 26, over 150 investors, business leaders, university researchers, entrepreneurs, advocates, and policy makers came together to explore “Green Chemistry” solutions that expand our economy by replacing hazardous materials in consumer products with safer alternatives. They identified opportunities to replace petroleum-based chemicals with bio-based products, and heard the latest information on an innovative project already underway to make bio-based plastic from Maine potatoes.
