Environmental Health Strategy Center

EHSC LogoThe Environmental Health Strategy Center works to protect human health by reducing exposure to toxic chemicals, expanding the use of safer alternatives, and building partnerships that focus on the environment as a public health priority. We conduct strategic issue campaigns in Maine to improve environmental health and phase in safer alternatives to dangerous chemicals, and build alliances with public health organizations to improve environmental health capacity in the state. We actively participate in several networks working for change beyond Maine when they add value to our local work, help prevent pollution from out-of-state sources and enable us to disseminate our successful models and policy precedents to the benefit of others.
